THE EXODUS 12:33-42

Why did the newest Pharoah fear the number of Israelites in Egypt?  Exodus 1:9-10

How did Pharoah decide to solve this problem?  Exodus 1:22

Several times the Bible states that God hardened Pharoah’s heart.

Exodus 7:3;  9:12; 10:1, 20, 27;  11:10;  14:4, 8 & 17

Was God unfair to Pharoah?

God was just holding Pharoah responsible for his own beliefs and actions.  Exodus 5:2 & 9

Pharoah basically has stated I don’t know God, I will not obey God, & He is a liar.  What do the following verses say God will do to people like this?  Romans 1:28;  2Timothy 3:8; & Titus 1:16

How do we know the Lord took no pleasure in hardening Pharoah’s heart?  2Peter 3:9

Remembering back to how Pharoah wanted to destroy the male Hebrew babies, how did God destroy Pharoah’s army?  Exodus 14: 23-28

The Israelite pattern have times of great ease–forget/turn from God–go into slavery–cry out to God–God saves them–repeat pattern.

3 Principles to Break this Pattern

1.  Always keep God at the center of your life.  Matthew 6:33

2.  God is never not attentive to us.  Deuteronomy 31: 6 & 8;  Joshua 1:5; &  Hebrews 13:5

3.  God provides for His people.

Usually we think of God providing for our physical needs, but what are some other things He provides for us?  1Corinthians 10:13; 1Timothy 6:17; Hebrews 1:3; & 1Peter 4:11
